RACE FOR CARE - National Cancer Survivors Day Description

Join Us!  Sunday, June 2, 2019, in beautiful, historic Mesilla with our RACE FOR CARE 5K Run/1K Walk "NCSD 2019"!  Event begins at 8:00 a.m.

 "CARE Honors National Cancer Survivors Day - 2019"

National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, treasured Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the world. It is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful, productive, and even inspiring.

CARE hosts events and "La Gran Fiesta" which is part of the largest cancer fundraiser in New Mexico benefiting our local people in Dona Ana County, cancer patients in active treatment for any type of cancer.

FREE T-Shirts for registrants that have registered by May 17, 2019.  Custom t-shirts order must be submitted to receive order in time of event.  Hope you get in on the count!!!

RACE FOR CARE runners are encouraged to recruit teams to honor survivors and remember loved ones lost and to promote cancer awareness.

Medals will go to top female and male finishers in each age group:  

9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

Trophies will go to:

1.  Top Female Runner

2.  Top Male Runner

3.  Largest Team

4.  Most Creative Team T-Shirt

 

REGISTRATION COST:  $20 per Person (Late Registration, $25 per Person on Jun 2, 2019 from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m.)

Cancer Survivors are honored guests and are free to participate.  Contact CARE at 575-649-0598 for offline registration.

TEAM REGISTRATION COST:  $20 per Person, Team is 10 or more people is encouraged.

Children 5 and under are free.
